  1. Can the client maintain property taxes, insurance, and upkeep indefinitely?
  2. Do they plan to stay in the home 5+ years?
  3. Have they compared downsizing, HELOC, and portfolio withdrawal strategies?
  4. Are they on Medicaid/SSI where a lump sum could affect eligibility?
  5. Have they completed or scheduled HUD-approved counseling?
